FLUIDIC MOTION CHAIR
The seating and backrest of the chair are made from a combination of translucent and opaque textiles that are carefully woven together to create a mesmerizing illusion of movement. The textiles are designed to mimic the swirling and undulating patterns of fabric in motion, inspired by Loie Fuller's pioneering work in dance and textile studies. The interplay of light and shadow on the textured textiles creates a captivating visual effect that adds depth and dimension to the chair.
DOUBLE WEAVE
Inspired by the principles of art nouveau functionality and everyday utility Henry Van Der Velde developed the textile panel or a woven artwork. The thread and wool design has a Anni Albers modernist sensibility, prioritizing clean lines, geometric shapes, and bold color choices. The woven composition is abstract and art nouveau, with a sense of balance and harmony achieved through carefully considered arrangements of objects and furniture elements. The textile is made from a combination of natural fibers such as cotton or linen, and synthetic fibers like rayon and nylon, to achieve a balance of durability and aesthetic appeal. The art nouveau objects and furniture depicted in the textile could include chairs, tables, lamps, and utensils, arranged in a way that's sense of order and functionality. The lines and shapes used to represent the objects and furniture are clean and geometric.
