Welcome to the Babhaus collection.

Human and machine intelligence has the potential to re-design objects and spaces of the past and generate an artificially alternate collection of reimagined Bauhaus images. Present AI technologies can operate as synthetic imaginations of historic Bauhaus principles and design ambitions to create a possible future: The Babhaus. In imagining a future, the past becomes altered through our understanding of its contributions to an alternate present. This project looks at a historical precedent for design production and theory, and imagines an alternate future with the use of AI. The Babhaus is visualized through collaborations of theater, dance, chairs, textiles, and figurines by Oskar Schlemmer, Loie Fuller, Marcel Breuer, Anni Albers, Henry Van De Velde, and us a humans(ME).
