“CYBERNETIC DANCER”
BODY X SCHLEMMER
Create an Action Figure with parts of human bodies. The figure is designed using the workshops which intensively examined new forms of theater motivated by his belief that mechanization was an unstoppable process and would eventually conquer all areas of life and art studied and developed by Oskar Schlemmer.
ITS BODY IS REMINISCENT OF A HUMAN FORM, WITH TWO ARMS AND TWO LEGS, BUT ITS JOINTS AND LIMBS MOVE WITH AN ALMOST ROBOTIC PRECISION.
ITS FINGERS ARE ELONGATED AND MADE OF A FLEXIBLE RUBBER MATERIAL, ALLOWING IT TO GRIP AND MANIPULATE OBJECTS WITH EASE.
THE ACTION FIGURE IS A REPRESENTATION OF A MECHANIZED BEING, COMPOSED OF VARIOUS METALLIC AND PLASTIC PARTS.
THE FIGURE'S ARMS ARE MADE UP OF INTERCONNECTED METALLIC SEGMENTS, ALLOWING IT TO MOVE WITH FLUIDITY AND PRECISION.
